GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners were up in Grand Forks for a track meet on Saturday. Another meet, more moving into the top ten list and more state qualifiers.

For the girls, Greta Goven moved into fifth place all-time the 1600 run but now she has company on the team. Reagan Berg’s time of 5:27.68 qualified her for state then her time of 5:27.34 moved her into 4th place in the 1600 All-Time at VCHS. Both Goven and Berg qualified for state with their performance on Saturday. Goven also moved into tenth place in the 800 meter all-time at VCHS.

On the boys side, Kael Grebel’s throw o 165’3″ in the javeliin moved him into seventh place in school history. Jaden Compson qualified for state in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.92. That also moves him into 9th place in school history.

On Tuesday at a 9th Grade Invitational at Dacotah Bank Track, Greta Goven qualified for state her performance in the 800m run. The eighth graders time of 2:24.53 put in 4th place all-time in school history n the event.
