JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System (JRVLS) is slowly approaching their new normal as 2021 continues.
Library Director Joe Rector says the board continues to watch COVID-19 numbers and vaccinations while they relax restrictions and return to some normalcy.
Rector says their Saturday hours will be from 11 AM to 4 PM. He added in-person meetings and events are still on hold, but the board will continue to monitor COVID moving forward.
With that, Rector says they’ve also been able to continue their renovations and plans for the future of the Stutsman County Library.
The Stutsman County Library is also looking to purchase a 3D printer with assistance by the Friends of the JRVLS.
Rector says Alfred Dickey Library is also looking to complete their new meeting room AV project that will be possible due to a donation in honor of Madeline C. Bellows.
As summer approaches, the library is prepared for several bookmobile events and programs. Stutsman County Library Branch Manager Nichole Greshik says a recent grant they received will make the county program possible.
Gresik says they’re planning their Summer Reading Program Kickoff for June 1st at Leapaldt Park from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Another program created thanks to the $1,500 grant will be a Story Stroll and STEAM activities for kids and families twice a month.
