Charlotte was born August 12, 1930 to Raymond L. Myers and Ruby Ann Myers (Ryerson) of Valley City. She died peacefully at the age of 90, April 24, 2021. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City and later in Glenfield, ND.  She gave her life to Jesus and was born again.

Charlotte was married to Lawrence F. Zaun and had four daughters.  Linda Hendrickson-Maack (Don), Annette Wick (Allan), LeEtta Korop (Andrew, deceased), Carol Mortenson (Philip), both deceased.

Later she married Alvin J. Sandness and had one daughter, Tammy Edland (Steve).  She also raised her grand-daughter, Heidi Plesuk (Jerad).  The family tree is full of grand kids, great-grandkids and great- great grand kids.  She dearly loved them and was proud of them all.

Charlotte lived most of her life in Valley City, ND with a few years in St. Helens, OR and Glenfield ND.  She spent her final days in the Sheyenne Care Center, where she grew to love her caregivers like her own family.

Charlotte was a mother and house wife most of her life.  Later in life she worked for the Anthony’s Department store, Fritch Garden Center, and the Sheyenne Care Center.  She retired at age 70.

She loved her family and they were her world. She always put them first. She loved growing flowers and vegetables, canning, baking, sewing, coloring and crafts were her passions.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, both husbands, a daughter, granddaughter and three son-in-law’s.

Our hearts are broken with grief but knowing she is in heaven is our comfort.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Saturday, May 1, at Litchville Cemetery, rural Litchville, ND.
