KC improves to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in region 3 play, Carrington drops to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in region 3 play.
The Cardinals were down 3-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Lucas Hendrickson would knock in Jack Erickson after he was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a wild pitch and a ground out. Grady Shipman hit a single and Ethan Buskness was walked to load the bases. Starting pitcher Jayden Rath reached his pitch count, Jace Larson came in to relieve him and struck out Hudson Schmitz to get the final out and the secure the victory. Rath picks up the victory working six and 2/3’s innings, with two earned runs, eight strikeouts and five walks. Grady Shipman suffers the loss, working seven innings, three runs, two earned, nine strikeouts, six hits and one walk.
