JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown girls soccer team is set to host Salute to Armed Forces Night on Tuesday at the Jamestown Rotary Soccer Field as the Blue Jays host Bismarck Legacy in WDA action.

JV begins at 5:30 pm with the varsity contest scheduled for 7:30 pm. All veterans and active military will get into the game for FREE!

The Blue Jays come into Tuesday night’s matchup against Legacy with a 2-1-1 overall record and are undefeated at home this season. Jamestown defeated Bismarck Century on Saturday 2-0 at home with goals by Hannah Murchie and Haley Nelson. Blue Jay goaltender Olivia Sorlie has back-to-back shutouts leading into Tuesday night’s game against Legacy.

Jamestown is currently tied for third place in the WDA with seven total points in four matches played. Bismarck High is with Jamestown at seven points, but the Demons have played one more match to begin the year than the Jays. Minot and Mandan are tied for first in the conference at 12 total points, but the Magi have played one less game than Mandan and are a perfect 4-0-0 on the year.
