JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A huge congratulations to the JHS Speech team who placed 2nd at the state tournament over the weekend. Your JHS Speech team has 5 state champions.

Keelie Renwick in Speech to Entertain, Madison Motschenbacher in Speech to Inform, Anja McDermid in Serious Prose, Ian Weis in Humorous Interpretation and Anja McDermid and Ian Weis in Serious Duo! Other award winners include:

Dramatic Interpretation: Logan Motter 6th

Extemporaneous Speaking: Will Nelson 7th

Impromptu speaking: Gavin Haut 8th

Humorous Duo: Paris Eslick and Keelie Renwick 6th

Humorous Interpretation: Olivia Schriock 4th

Radio Broadcasting: Madalyn Orr 2nd, Paris Ndikum 3rd

The team as a whole had an exceptional season. While we are sad to see our seniors – Gavin Haut, Keelie Renwick, Dawson Mee, Madison Motschenbacher, Westin Walker, and Ian Weis – leave our team, we look forward to next year’s season!
