JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Donations and registration numbers are still being tallied, but early estimates point to a fairy strong turnout for the annual Runnin O’ The Green in Jamestown April 17th.
Held annually to raise money for Elk’s Camp Grassick and local cancer patients, the run made its return for its 42nd year in 2021 after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. Run organizers postponed the typical St. Patrick’s Day run a month to allow for more COVID-19 vaccinations.
“Roughly 1,000 registered for the run but at least another 1000 that didn’t register,” co-organizer Melissa Mikkelson stated. “Which is unfortunate, but not enforced. We encourage all to register.”
Mikkelson says they continue to add up total donations and will report those at a later date.
