CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Carrington Public School Board moved to remove the mask requirement in the district Tuesday afternoon.
Superintendent Kris Kuehn says as it has been all year, masks and the Restart Plan have been on the mind of the school board for the school year. He says it’s important to note that even though masks aren’t required, they’ll still do their best to keep their faculty, students, and instructors safe.
Kuehn says he’ll be able to report more in May if ending the mask requirement affected their numbers. He says they’ll continue to encourage masks, but not enforce them for K-12 and visitors at the schools.
In other school information, Kuehn says they discussed the upcoming Seniors Banquet and Prom, Spring Activities, heard the latest on their audit report, position openings and more.
The next meeting is set for May 10th.
