FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – A Moorhead man has been given two years in federal prison for jumping onto a Fargo police car as rioting began in downtown in May of 2020. 

31-year-old Jonathan Montanez pleaded guilty to civil disorder. Nick Chase is North Dakota’s acting U-S Attorney.

Chase says he considers the sentence strong and is likely more than other protesters in the Fargo riot have or will receive. Montanez pleaded guilty.
