CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As precaution during the COVID-19 pandemic, CHI St. Alexius Health in Carrington implemented visitor restrictions for the safety of their staff and patients.
CHI St. Alexius Health Market President Mariann Doeling says they recently changed their COVID-19 visitor restrictions this week.
Doeling says their three levels were red, yellow, and blue with blue being the lowest level of restrictions. She pointed out they made the decision to drop to the blue level this week.
She added that visitor restrictions through the CDC may change as more vaccinations roll out. Doeling says they continue to monitor CDC recommendations for their own restrictions.
In vaccinations, Doeling says continued rates have kept COVID-19 cases down not only in Foster County, but a majority of North Dakota.
Doeling added that CHI St. Alexius will not be carrying the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, but it is being offered in Carrington and Foster County through different agencies. She added that the hospital has exhausted their list of vaccinations and are opening up to all ages, following guidelines for distribution.
She encourages residents to continue social distancing, wearing a mask, and washing your hands constantly to keep you and your community safe and healthy.
