SIOUX CENTER, IA. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown men’s volleyball team continued its winning ways on Thursday night as the Jimmies won their 11th consecutive match by sweeping Dordt.

UJ improved to a perfect 6-0 in the GPAC to wrap up the conference season in another decisive victory over Dordt. The Jimmies struggled to get going on offense to begin the night, but that didn’t stop Jamestown from hitting .288 for the match and holding the Defenders to just a .177 attack percentage.

Samuel Jackman led Jamestown with 14 total kills on 25 total attempts with two service aces. Freshman Derek Owens collected nine kills while hitting .333. Caylor Cox and Tanner Woods each had seven kills for Jamestown on the night.

The #4 Jimmies moved to 17-2 overall this year, with the lone two losses of the season coming to #1 Grand View University. Jamestown takes on Dordt tonight in a non-conference matchup at 7 pm in Sioux Center, and then the Jimmies will get set for the conference tournament starting April 9th.
