JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For 42 years, the James River Figure Skating Club (JRFSC) has performed an annual ice show.

After being unable to hold the show in 2020 due to COVID-19, the club is ready to take the ice again for the 43rd year.

The theme for the show is “Go Wild”, which coach Mark Vasarhelyi says will incorporate a lot of animals into the choreographed show.

Vasarhelyi has coached the club for 24 years. He added that spectators will see all levels of skater from the beginners and competitive to the alumni skaters who return to volunteer for the performances.

Parent and volunteer Jeanne Sortland says they pride themselves on putting together the best show possible.

Sortland added that those who have never taken in an ice show will enjoy the performances, lights, music, and more. She says ticket purchase help the club continue operating, so even just purchasing a ticket would be appreciated.

There will be multiple shows beginning Friday at 7 P.M., Saturday at 2 P.M. and 7 P.M., and the final show at 2 P.M. Sunday at the Wilson Arena. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased from any James River Figure Skater or i3G Media.
