VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Monday, Valley City Hi-Liner’s Kael Grebel signed his Letter of Intent to play football and participate in track and field at Valley City State University.

The senior chose VCSU because of what they offer academically and of course athletically.

Grebel played quarterback on the football team this season. In 2019, as a sophomore, he competed in the 200 meter dash, the discus and the javelin for the Hi-Liner track team. Grebel says he would like to play quarterback at the next level and throw in track, but he will do whatever he can.

With the first boys track meet of the season a little over two weeks away, Grebel is  ready and happy to get the season started.

Grebel led the Hi-Liner football team to victories over Central Cass and Hillsboro/Central Valley, two ranked teams, in the final two games of his senior season. The Hi-Liners just missed a second consecutive trip to the state playoffs in 2020 and finished 3-4.
