VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The VCHS music department will present its Spring Band Concert including the Varsity Band (9 and 10), the Senior Band (11 and 12) and the VCHS Jazz Band in concert on Tuesday, March 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the Hi-liner Activity Center. The band will play music from their adjudicated festival earlier in the day.
Also performing that evening will be the state star soloists. Those soloists are Britta Roehrich on flute, Alexa Kjelland on french horn, Aurora Ziniel on clarinet and Luke Plagens on french Horn.
Varsity Band selections will include “Salvation is Created”, “Missouri River Festival” and “Nottingham Sketches”. Senior Band will perform “The Seal Lullaby”, “Elegy for a Young American”, “To a New Journey” and “The Flickertail March”. The Jazz Band will perform “Moonlight Serenade”, “Down To The River” and “Birdland”.
The concert is free and open to the public. Social distancing will be observed and the music department requests that you wear your masks to the performance.
