JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A new children’s book store will be opening in Jamestown this April.

“The Story Nook” will be opening Saturday, April 10th at 109 1st Street West. Owner Emily Steele says her love of Meg Ryan’s childrens book store in the movie “You’ve Got Mail” provided the spark of inspiration for the store.

“It is magical,” Steele stated. “I’ve always wanted to have a store like that. It was one of those dreams I tucked away.”

Now with a husband and four children and a pocket full of family adventures, she says she’s ready to open her store. Steele added she’s following the footsteps of her cousin Cierra, who recently opened Simply Dweh Boutique, a children’s clothing store in Jamestown.

“She helped me pull that big dream of mine out and dust it off. Cierra invited me into her adorable boutique as a vendor and here we are. God is so good! He has opened every door and made this all fall into place so easily,” Steele added.

Steele says they’ve been working on setup and hope to bring the magic to Jamestown. She explained that they’ll have a variety of things for kids.

“We have books for babies, all the way up to young teens,” Steele stated. “We have lots of gift options like, puzzles, games, mobiles, stuffed animals, and more.”

The store will open on Saturday, April 10th from 10 AM to 2 PM with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, Laney’s Cool Treats and more.
