JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After some delays, construction on the $8.688 million Eagle Flats Apartments in Jamestown is scheduled to begin this April.
Groundbreaking and construction was originally set to begin on the 33 apartment building in the summer of 2020. The project includes demolition of the former Eagles building and redevelopment of the 0.7-acre parcel with a 4-story multifamily apartment structure.
Erin Anderson is the Vice President of Development for Commonwealth Companies.
Anderson stated the goal would be to have rent set below the market with rent ranges between $392 to $975 with an average of $716 based on the needs of the individual.
Earlier this year, the city reviewed and approved an environmental review of the project. Now, Commonwealth Construction is seeking proposals and job applicants for the construction of the new apartments.
Different trades are being asked for including excavation & demolition, concrete, masonry, carpentry, insulation, roofing, doors and windows, flooring, painting, drywall, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, landscaping, signage, and more.
