Hannibal, MO. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown baseball team took both games from Hannibal-LaGrange on Tuesday as they downed the Trojans, 12-5 and 5-2.

GAME ONE: UJ 12, Hannibal-LaGrange 5

Lincoln Trujillo led the Jimmies by going 4-for-5 and driving in two runs as Jamestown did the bulk of its damage during the middle innings. Trujillo and Brice Foster both homered in the third inning to get the scoring going for the Jimmies. Foster collected three RBIs to lead Jamestown in runs driven in.

The Jimmies had 16 total hits in the first game, and Cameron Jenkins earned the victory in 1.2 innings of work. Five Jamestown players had two or more hits in the first game.

GAME TWO: UJ 5, Hannibal-LaGrange 2

Jamestown picked up 10 hits in the second game and Trujillo hit another home run in the third inning to give the Jimmies the run support they needed to sweep the Trojans.

On the rubber, Mitchell Dennis picked up the win in his first outing of the year, going four innings while striking out five and giving up just one earned run. Out of the bullpen, Andy Reed completed three full innings in relief, also allowing one earned run. Reed, a senior out of Washington, earned his second save and now has a 1.72 ERA on the year.

The Jimmies wrap up the Spring Break road trip with a 4-2 record, and will now have the next 10 days off before returning to the diamond on March 20th to open up GPAC play at Hastings.
