BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – The House has passed a proposed state Constitutional amendment, that would require a two-thirds vote in each house of the Legislature to raise taxes, or impose a new tax.
Bismarck Republican Representative Rick Becker sponsored the measure.
The vote was 55 to 24. It will now be considered by the Senate.
If the Senate passes it, the measure will be on the ballot in 2022.
