
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 7 year-old Hunter Strodtman of Valley City continues to recover from burns suffered in a February 14th fire.
Hunter’s grandmother, Rose Peterson suffered injuries in the mobile home fire in Gwinner, ND. She continues to recover from her non-life threatening injuries.
The 1st grader received skin grafts on his arms at the burn unit of Region Hospital in St. Paul, MN. On February 19th the Valley City School District held a hat day to raise money for Hunter.
Jefferson School Principal Troy Miller said in one day the school district raised more than $4,700.
Miller said Hunter is recovering and scheduled to return home soon.
Hunter’s mother Christina said the support for Hunter has been great. So far, people have donated more than $8,000 into their GoFundMe page.
