CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Nearly a quarter of all Foster County residents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine according to Lisa Hilbert with Foster County Health.
Hilbert reports that vaccination rates continue to steadily climb as they’ve neared 1,100 who have been vaccinated so far.
Hilbert says they’re excited to be progressing through the priority groups. She added that previous priority groups are also still eligible to sign up for the vaccine.
Hilbert says they might be able to open the next tier of eligibility to those 18 and older with two or more underlying health conditions. She says some communities and counties may be further along than Foster County in vaccine distribution.
Hilbert added that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine that was recently approved may also be in circulation sometime this month.
