NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Day one of the 2021 Class B District 7 Boys Basketball tournament was held on Friday with three games, here are the results:

No. 4 Harvey/Wells County 60  No. 5 Benson County 55

The Hornets improve to 9-11 overall and move into the semifinal Saturday night against the number one team in state in Class B boys basketball, the Indians of Four Winds/Minnewaukan. Junior Alex Erickson led the way for the Hornets of HWC with 27 points, Sophomore Tate Grossman added 16 and Senior Tyson Tipton had 11 points off the bench. BC was led by Senior Blayne Anderson with 21, Chas Bisbee added 16, including four 3-pointers and John Fischer had 10.

No. 2 New Rockford/Sheyenne 63  No. 7 Warwick 53

The Rockets had three players in double figures as they roll past the Warriors of Warwick on Friday. 6’7″ Senior Center Evan Ulrich dropped in 23, Junior Nick Berglund added 15 and Senior Johnny Grann 14. Warwick was led by Senior Julian Hill with 28, Mark Fassett added 11.

No. 3 Dakota Prairie 61  No. 6 Lakota 49

Junior Garrett Syverson dropped in 16 points to help the Knights beat the Raiders in the last game of the day. Both Cade Stein and Blake Hanson added 15. Brandt Ferguson led the way for the Raiders with 18.

SATURDAY’S SCHEDULE:

4pm – Warwick vs. Lakota (elimination game)

530pm – No. 1 (1) Four Winds/Minnewaukan vs. No. 4 Harvey/Wells County (semifinal)

7pm – No. 2 New Rockford/Sheyenne vs. No. 3 Dakota Prairie (semifinal)
