JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakot.com) – Jamestown’s boys basketball team won its third consecutive game, as they toppled the Braves, 66-52 on senior night.

Mandan and Jamestown jostled back and forth early on in the first half, but the Blue Jays were able to pull ahead on big threes from Brooks Carroll. With a 33-28 halftime lead, Jamestown opened the door briefly for Mandan to begin the second half but pulled away in the final eight minutes behind stellar defense and sharpshooting.

With 10 seniors being honored, the Jays relied heavily on Carroll and the return of Keith Levin to beat Mandan. Carroll dropped 18 points, including 14 in the first half. Levin had a dominant night in the paint, finishing with 17.

Ty Monson brought home double figures as well, and nine Blue Jays in total had a bucket. Jamestown improved to 15-5 on the season. The Jays earned second place in the WDA to finish the season and will host the winner of St. Mary’s against Williston on March 2nd.

Minot finished as the top seed at 19-1 overall, and Jamestown jumped over Bismarck Legacy following the Sabers loss to Bismarck High 76-64.
