JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – James River Valley Library System (JRVLS) Library Director Joe Rector says many projects are underway within the Stutsman County Library.

He says their new “Library of Things” is beginning to take shape.

Rector says at this time, items aren’t available for checkout just yet. He says they’re beginning to build their inventory and looking for donations of these items.

Shelves are being built to house the items and are displayed in a glassed-in office so patrons can see it as they walk into the library.

In other library news, Rector says now is a good time to start thinking about their seed library.

The seed library will be open to the public on March 1st starting at 10 AM. Rector adds there will be a Modern Day Victory Gardens program put on by Alicia Harstad from the NDSU Extension Service on March 16th with a Q&A at the end.

Renovations are also nearly complete at the library.

Joe says the goal is to bring more people into the library while providing a comfortable atmosphere and programming to the community.
