JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission approved several bids for services to the courthouse.

Maintenance Supervisor Jim Fettig reported that they received two bids for electricity.

Fettig recommended accepting both bids, citing possible availability issues. Both bids were approved by the commission unanimously.

Later, Fettig reported they didn’t receive any plumbing bids, but they did receive a few HVAC bids.

He recommended they approve both bids again, which the commission unanimously agreed.

Fettig was asked what the county would do about plumbing after receiving no bids. Maintenance Supervisor Howie Peuser stated they reached out to Mackie Plumbing & Heating.

Fetting later reported that they would receive a Courthouse Facility Grant if Burleigh County didn’t accept it first.

Carpeting of the library was also discussed. Library Director Joe Rector stated the Library Board accepted new carpeting in the Stutsman County Library that would be a mix of new carpet and vinyl.
