NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2021 Class B District 7 Girls Basketball Tournament starts today, Friday, February 12th in New Rockford. Four Winds/Minnewaukan is the number one seed and two-time defending District 7 champs and will have a first round bye. Harvey/Wells County is the two seed and will also have a first round bye as there are just six teams this year in the district compared to seven in years past. Games will start at 4pm instead of 530pm on Friday and Saturday because tourney officials want to get teams home earlier with the sub-zero temps and wind chill warnings in place. Thunder Country 98.3 and newsdakota.com will cover all New Rockford/Sheyenne, Nelson County and Harvey/Wells County games during the three day tourney. Here is the first day schedule:
4pm – No. 4 New Rockford/Sheyenne vs. No. 5 Benson County
530pm – No. 3 Nelson County vs. No. 6 Warwick
