CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carrington Mayor Tom Erdmann says things continue moving forward across the city.

In the latest city meeting, Erdmann says the council authorized City Auditor Jennifer Gast to do a streetlight contract with Ottertail Power Company. Erdmann says they have contracted with the company to upgrade the bulbs in their streetlights and traffic lights.

Erdmann says they also let bids on a City Hall remodel to meet ADA requirements.

Erdmann says City Hall and all city owned buildings will now be open to the public.

In other business, Erdmann says they approved a $40,000 grant for Carrington Youth Sports.

The city also agreed to sell around 6.45 acres in the West Industrial Park to Dakota Growers for them to possibly build a new truck scale and grading house.
