VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewDakota.com) – Koye Grebel has been named the Farmers Union Wrestler of the Week. Koye is a sophomore and is the Hi-Liners starting wrestler at 106.
He is the son of York and Nikki and has one younger brother Koltyn and one older brother Kael who are also both wrestlers for the Hi-Liners.
Koye had a super week of wrestling. Koye went 4-0 on the week, handily beating three ranked wrestlers and one unranked wrestler. Koye is 23-0 on the season with every match being a major decision, tech fall or pin. Koye is the returning runner up at 106 and is ranked #1 in North Dakota Class A. Additionally, Koye got his 100th career win vs Keigan Hermanson of Thief River Falls on January 30th.
Koye is an exceptional student athlete for the Hi-Liners. He is on the B-Honor Roll and has served on the Student Council since 7th grade. He is currently the sophomore class president. In addition to wrestling, Koye also competes in track and plays in the school pep band.
In his free time, Koye enjoys camping with his family, watching college wrestling and competing in sports trivia with his family.
He is favorite class is social studies & his favorite foods are grapes, bananas and cereal. He doesn’t play video games often, but when he does, its Minecraft with his brothers.
