MINOT, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was billed as a potential preview of the state gymnastics meet. All seven teams from the west and Valley City came to Minot for a meet. Top ranked and defending state champ Dickinson led the way taking first. Jamestown, Valley City and Legacy followed.

Dickinson had a 145.175. It is the fourth time this season Dickinson has broken 145. Jamestown was second with a 144.700. Valley City placed third with a 142.450. Legacy was fourth with a 140.950, which is their second best score of the year.

Individually, Adie Fridley from Dickinson took the All-Around with a 37.350. Haley Nelson of Jamestown was second with a 37-325. Zoe Prince of Legacy was third with a 36.150. Karina Olson of Valley City placed fourth in the All-Around with a 35.950.

Other Hi-Liners in the all around, Olivia Olson was ninth with a 35.050. Jocey Kriewald was 11th with a 34.800. Grace Undem finished 13th with a 34.525.  Abby Thornton was 16th with a 34.200.

Fridley was first in the vault with a 9.500. For Valley City, Jocey Kriewald was third with a 9.150. Abby Thornton was seventh with an 8.950. Karina Olson was tied for 10th with a 8.850. Maddie Wendle and Olivia Olson were tied for 15th with an 8.750. Grace Undem was tied for 17th with an 8.725.

Haley Nelson from Jamestown was first on the bars with a 9.350. For Valley City, Abby Thornton was third with a 9.100. Jocey Kriewald was tied for fifth with an 8.950. Karina Olson was 12th with a 8.200. Olivia Olson was right behind at 13th with a 8.175. And Grace Undem was 18th with an 8.000. Zoe Bjerke was 30th with a 7.225.

Nelson also took top honors on the beam with a 9.650. For Valley City, Karina Olson was tied for fourth with a 9.475. Olivia Olson  was 17th with a 9.000. Grace Undem was 21st with an 8.675. Zoe Bjerke was tied at 22nd with a 8.450. Jocey Kriewald was tied for 32nd with an 8.000. Abby Thornton was tied for 39th with a 7.100.

Jamestown took three out of the top five spots on the floor. With Rachel Schiele first with a 9.550 and Nelson second with a 9.500. Karina Olson was third with a 9.425 tied with Fridley of Dickinson. Julie Skari of Jamestown was fifth with a 9.350. Olivia Olson and Grace Undem were tied at 11th with a 9.125. Abby Thornton was 15th with a 9.050. Jocey Kriewald was 20th with a 8.700. Zoe Bjerke was 26th with a 8.325.

Valley City will be in Grand Forks next Saturday before hosting the Eastern Dakota Conference Championships on February 20th.
