JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Crews began demolishing the former Perkins Building Tuesday afternoon.

The building had been closed since 2019, when the parent company filed for bankruptcy. While there has been rumors of what will happen to the newly vacated space, JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova says there isn’t much information at this time.

While nothing is concrete, Ova says at this time there’s only word on potential future development on the site.

Other project updates included a grant for $500,000 for infrastructure at Spiritwood Energy Park and the Greenhouse project. Ova says they’re also pursuing another loan through Northern Plains Electric.

Ova says they’re also looking to renew their line of credit through the local credit union. A windfarm is also looking to locate within southern Stutsman County.
