LAMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals led by as many as four in the first quarter but the Loboes outscored the Cardinals 14-5 in the second quarter and took the lead 21-14 at halftime. The Cardinals had a good second half, turning the ball over only four times compared to 12 in the first half, but the Loboes held on and picked up the victory 53-45 over Carrington in Class B Boys District 5 basketball Friday night. LLM improves to 2-1 in D5 and 9-4 overall, Carrington drops to 2-2 in D5 and 6-9 overall.
The Cardinals were led by Lucas Hendrickson with 15, Hudson Schmitz added 13. LLM had eight players in the scoring column, they were led by Corbin Potts with 17 and Landon Piehl with 15.
