VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Class A Wrestling Coaches Second Poll has been released and Valley City again is prominent in the poll.
Out of 14 weight classes, ten have a Valley City Hi-Liner ranked in the top four, of those ten, six are number 1.
The wrestlers that are on top of their respective weights are: Koye Grebel at 113, Logan Novara at 120, Ethan Miller at 126, Broden Muske at 170, Jonathan Redfearn at 182, and Jonah Schuldheisz at 195.
Grebel is 9-0 on the season with two pins. Novara is 6-0 with four pins. Miller is 8-1 with five pins. Muske is 9-0 with five pins. Redfearn is 7-2 with four pins. And Schuldheisz is 8-1 with a team high six pins.
Koltyn Grebel and Ezra Hanse are ranked second in their weights. Grebel, at 106, is 9-0 with three pins. Hanse is 7-2 with four pins.
Carson McGough is third at 220. He is 7-1 with five pins. And Evan Mielke is fourth at 160. Mielke was not ranked at the beginning of the season, is 3-5 with two pins.
As a team, the Hi-Liners moved up to #3 in the state behind Bismarck High and Bismarck Century.
Valley City is 7-0 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and 8-1 overall. They can clinch at least a share of the EDC championship when they face West Fargo on Saturday.
