KINDRED, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior and four-year starter Abby Duchscherer of the Kindred Vikings poured in 32 points including three 3-pointers to help the Vikings roll over the Carrington Cardinals Friday night 72-42. Kindred improves to 6-1 overall, Carrington drops to 6-2 overall.

The Cardinals got things going early, Kenzie Edland scored a quick two off the tip and were up at one point early in the first quarter 6-3. But Duchscherer had a big first quarter, scoring 14 of her teams 19 points to help the Vikings take the lead going into the second quarter 19-10. At the break the score was 37-20 and the Vikings were pretty much in control the rest of the contest. Junior Terryn Johnson ended with 14 points and scored her 1001 point in the fourth quarter. Kacie Burner added 10. Carrington was led by three players in double figures, Hannah Hagel had 14, Lexi Page 11 and Sydnie Grager with 10 points.

Next up for Carrington will be at Leal to take on fellow District 5 team the Bison of Barnes County North on Monday, Jan. 11th. KDAK will have the pregame about 715p, tipoff at 730pm.
