JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Park Board discussed a request from the EZ Wheels Shrine Club to sink a vehicle on the Little Britches Pond.
Shrine member Jon Lindberg says the club has been looking at different fundraisers that also account for COVID-19 social distancing.
Lindberg says they’ll sink a 1942 farm truck after stripping it down completely and draining out all of its fluids before sinking it.
He added they’ll outfit it with advertising signs and more, attaching lines to it so they can safely remove it from the pond.
The club would look at sinking the pickup on the Little Britches Pond later this winter.
Commissioner Joan Morris asked if the North Dakota Game & Fish Department had any issues with sinking the vehicle. Park Board Superintendent Karl Bergh didn’t think there’d be any objections.
The Game & Fish Department stock the pond with fish every year, which travel through the culvert and into the lake.
The board unanimously approved.
