VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than $76-thousand-dollars was raised during the 2020 Barnes County Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign.

Spokesman Lee Isensee said the generosity of the Barnes County Community and beyond this year was a blessing.

He said thanks to your donations, the Barnes County Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is the top money raising extension in the state.

A man from California, who has no connection to the region, started the campaign off to a good start with a $5,000 donation after he saw the story posted on NewsDakota.com

More than $48-thousand-dollars was donated via of checks and more than $28-thousand-dollars was collected in the Red Kettle’s located in Valley City. Isensee said the grand total was $76,916 dollars.
