JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Civic Center and Promotional Committee met Thursday to discuss business at the Jamestown City Hall.

The committee made the motion to approve changes to the Frontier Village vendor leases, authorize the City Attorney to modify the leases, and authorize the City Attorney to enter into the agreements. The motion was approved.

Later, Jamestown Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund informed the committee on their new community calendar.

Swedlund says the calendar also includes trash and recycle pickup as well as big community events.

Councilmember Dave Steele commended Swedlund and Jamestown Tourism for their work.

Later, Civic Center Director Pam Fosse reported they were seeing an increase in scheduled events for the beginning of 2021.

Fosse says this is an encouraging sign of things to come as positive outlook remains with the COVID-19 vaccine.
