Carrington, N.D. (www.newsdakota.com)—-Hannah Hagel (5’10 senior) was one of three Carrington girls to score in double figures with a team high 17 points and added 8 rebounds. Lexi Page (5’6 senior) added 15 points including a trio of three pointers, and Sydnie Grager (5’11 junior) added 14 points in the paint for the victorious Cardinals. Haley Wolsky added 9 points off the bench for Carrington. The Cardinals forced the Titans into 29 turnovers and committed 13 of their own. The Cardinals outscored the Titans 24-8 in the opening quarter and led 39-23 at halftime. The Cards opened up a big lead in the second half outscoring the Titans 22-12 in the 3rd quarter and led by as many as 31 points.

Jenna Larson had a good game for the Titans, the 6’1 junior had a game high 19 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. Nicole Beckley added 10 points for the Titans. Carrington improved to 2-0 (1-0) in District 5 and the Titans dropped to 1-1 (0-1) in district play. The Cardinals (receiving votes in the first poll of the season) will host 6th rated Four Winds-Minnewaukan on Monday night.
