JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown has announced that the Fire Department will begin conducting aerial ladder truck training in different parts of the city Thursday & Friday.

Firefighters will be training on the new rig in different parts of the city. Hours will be between 9 AM to 4 PM both days. You’re asked to avoid the area of training and use extreme caution.

“The Fire Department trains monthly on the operations of fire apparatus for the use of emergencies,” Fire Chief Jim Reuther states.

“It’s very important for firefighters to train on items such as responsibilities and special instructions, placement of aerial ladders both general and fire operations, ventilating with the aerial ladder, and operations for removal of victims of aerial ladder.”
