VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During this trying time, it’s been difficult for loved ones to honor their family members and friends who have past away.

Valley City Pastor Emmy Swedlund said a pine tree in Veterans Park decorated with blue lights was set up to remember those who past away in 2020.

There’s been a lot of challenges for everyone this year and she said the tree is a community remembrance for those no longer with us.

Pastor Swedlund and the Barnes County Ministerial Association express their gratitude for the city’s assistance in placing the blue lights on the pine tree in Valley City’s Veterans Park.
