JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In many locations this holiday season, you’ll notice trees with the names of boys and girls who would enjoy a nice Christmas surprise.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to more than one-million children and families in need every year nationwide.
Major Judy Lowder with the Jamestown Salvation Army says those who participate in the Angel Tree can buy one or more gifts for as many children by using Angel Tree Tags.
Once you purchase items, you return them unwrapped along with the tag and gifts.
Locations of an Angel Tree include Premium Property Management, Unison, Better Homes Property Management, Century 21, Vivacious Salon, Stutsman Harley Davidson, Suite 140 Salon & Spa, Innovative, Ameriprise Financial, Jonny B’s Brickhouse, Sabir’s Buffalo Grill, BluFrog Realty, IRET The Meadows Appartments, and Deer Ridge Apartments.
Lowder added that their Red Kettle Campaign is also underway, with a goal set at more than $151,000. She says businesses in town can help by setting up a bin inside their stores in Jamestown and Stutsman County.
