VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Valley City is in the process of hiring a City Engineering firm after the process to hire a City Engineer failed earlier this year.

Earlier this month, the city commission approved of the City Engineer Selection Committee’s Final Report. City Attorney Carl Martineck said that report was required under state law.

But one of the engineering firms who submitted their proposal questioned the cities procurement point process with their Request for Proposal known as an RFP. Hyalite Engineering spokesman Cory Ravnass.

Hyalite Engineering is based in Bozeman, Montana but has an office in Valley City. The four engineering firms include Bolton & Menk, Hyalite, KLJ and Moore engineering) all submitted proposals to be the new city engineering firm. One of those, was a joint proposal from KLJ and Moore Engineering.
