JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Humane Society is calling for support from the community in order to maintain operation.
Working amidst the pandemic, Board Member Jay Nitschke says the community’s shelter has been struggling. Because of this and other factors, she says they’ve raised adoption fees for both cats and dogs beginning this month.
Nitschke says car dealerships in Jamestown have also stepped up, voting to continue their collection drive through the month of November.
Boxes are also available in some grocery stores where donations can be left. She says these are especially needed as they cannot conduct their normal fundraiser this year.
You can also send in monetary donations or become a James River Humane Society member to help the shelter during this time.
You can send donations to 636, Jamestown, ND 58402. The shelter is open by appointment only by calling 701-252-0747. You can also go online visit at jamesriverhumanesociety.com to see animals available for adoption.
