JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In a difficult decision, the Jamestown Downtown Association (JDA) has moved to “digital” parade this year.

“Some decisions are so hard,” the JDA states. “We have struggled for days with this one. But, with rising covid numbers and statewide high risk restrictions, we have decided to NOT have a live Holiday Dazzle Parade down 1st Avenue this year.”

With that in mind, the JDA has moved to still hold a contest for the entire city of Jamestown.

“We will offer cash prizes to all of Jamestown for home displays as well as any float entrants who want to participate in this way,” the JDA added.

Entry forms will be made available on NewsDakota.com where residents and their float entries can fill in their address and be considered for prizes.

A map will be generated for folks to drive by and they can vote again on NewsDakota.com.

1st place – $200
2nd place – $100
3rd place – $50

A video will be produced showing all displays that will be available for viewing the week of Christmas, also highlighting winners.
