JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A community tradition since 1990, the 30th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown has been cancelled.

In a release, the Thanksgiving Dinner committee made the decision Tuesday night.

“The committee feels it is in the best interest of the community,” the release stated. “We appreciate the volunteers who make the dinner possible each year. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe during this pandemic in our community.”

The Community Thanksgiving has continued to grow in past years, serving up and delivering more than 700 meals in the past few years.

The event is put on yearly by volunteers.
