Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-The Carrington girls volleyball defeated LaMoure-Litchville-Marion (LMM) Loboes 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-23) to advance to the District 5 title match on Monday night in Oakes. Hannah Hagel (5’11 senior outside hitter) paced the Cardinals offensively with a match high 19 kills and also added a team high 31 digs defensively. Lexus Page (senior outside hitter) added 9 kills and 26 digs and Sydnie Grager (6′ junior middle blocker) added 8 kills and a match high 4 stuff blocks. Senior Taryn Hoeckle added 26 digs for the Cards. Tessa Page (senior setter) had a match high 30 assists as well.

LLM was paced by Heidi Steffes (freshman middle hitter) with a team high 14 kills and a match high 4 stuff blocks. Molly Musland (junior outside hitter) added 9 kills and a match high 36 digs for the Loboes. Ashylyn Rode (senior outside hitter) added 8 kills. Nateal Rodin (sophomore middle hitter) recorded 34 digs and teammate Risa Rasmusson (senior libero) added 28 digs.

The Loboes dropped to 11-7 overall on the season and will host Griggs County/Midkota on Monday night in LaMoure in a region 3 qualifying match. Carrington improved to 12-4 overall and will travel to top seeded Oakes on Monday night for the District 5 championship.
