JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown United Way is currently in the middle of their campaign, raising funds for numerous area non-profits.
United Way Member Kayla Trzpuc says United Way explained what United Way is and what they do.
After holding a successful Easter event that allowed for social distancing, they came up with another unique was to socially distance while also celebrating the season.
Trzpuc says they’re welcoming any and all to come through McElroy park beginning at 5 PM until all the bags are gone. She says volunteers have packed more than 1,500 bags of candy to distribute, so it’ll be on a first come, first serve basis.
Trzpuc also talked about the current campaign. She says United Way Board members are busy distributing packets of information for employees and employers to consider making a donation to the campaign. She invited new businesses to also reach out.
To contact the United Way, like them on Facebook or call 701-952-UWAY. They will also have a website soon where you can learn more and make a contribution to their campaign.
There are numerous other drive-thru trick-or-treating events and trunk-or-treats happening in the area. Visit NewsDakota.coms events tab for full details and locations of area events.
