CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2020 District 5 volleyball tournament starts on Thursday, October 29th and continues Friday and wraps up Monday. This year due to Covid-19 concerns, the tournament will be held at the higher seeds home court, creating three matches per night all going on at the same time at three different locations. The Oakes Tornadoes are the two-time defending District 5 champs and are the one seed this year and have a first round bye, they have defeated the Carrington Cardinals in both championship matches the last two years. 7pm – No. 5 Ellendale (4-10) @ No. 4 Griggs/Midkota (4-11) (Cooperstown) (Thunder 98.3 FM)
7pm – No. 6 Barnes County North (6-10) @ No. 3 LaMoure-LM (10-6) (KDDR AM 1220/FM 95.9)
7pm – No. 7 Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (1-13) @ No. 2 Carrington (10-4) (KDAK AM 1600/FM 100.1)

All matches will be streamed online at newsdakota.com as well. KDAK, KDDR and Thunder will cover Friday and Monday as well, with the schedule to be determined after completion of matches each night.
