JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A recent feasibility study on Buffalo City Park was conducted earlier this year as a “next step” after design.

In July, Jamestown Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund informed the Jamestown Finance & Legal committee they would conduct the feasibility study with Apogee Attractions for the park.

During the latest Tourism Board meeting, Swedlund says they’ve received that study back.

Swedlund stated they will be sending the data out in a release sometime later, but the initial overview of the study was favorable for the project.

Swedlund says some variables of using funding include the cost and who would be in charge of the park. He says there will be some opportunities for people to give input in the future.

Swedlund added that the feasibility study also focused on guest costs and more, but he believes there should and will be more study into that.

In other Jamestown Tourism news, work continues on the new Twelve Month Calendar for the City of Jamestown.

Swedlund also talked about Frontier Village following their first summer of running the site.

Swedlund added that they’re continuing to study the buildings and how to make space to “do the next thing”. This includes exploring the potential to bring some buildings down in order to make room.
