NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it may take weeks before they’re able to identify the driver of a fatal Eddy County crash.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a rollover crash south of New Rockford Monday night led to the death of one individual. The vehicle had been traveling northbound, going into both east and west ditches before vaulting over an approach.
At some point during the rollover, the vehicle caught fire, coming to rest in the ditch.
The identification of the driver could take weeks according to the Highway Patrol. No further information will be released until the body is identified.
The NDHP was assisted by the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office and New Rockford Fire Department.
