VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City State University football game with Dakota State, slated for Saturday afternoon in Madison, South Dakota has been postponed.

The athletic department issued this statement Wednesday morning.

“Valley City State University’s scheduled football game this weekend at Dakota State University has been postponed to a later date.

The decision to postpone the contest was made out of concern for the health and safety of all participants.

A makeup date has not yet been finalized. “

The Vikings are 4-1 in the North Star Atheltic Association, a game and a half behind conference leader Dickinson State. The Vikings and Blue Hawks play next Saturday, October 31st at Lokken Stadium/Shelly Ellig Field
