VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Rotary Club along with area businesses are hosting the first annual ‘Pints for Pandemic’ in honor of World Polio Day on Saturday, October 24th.

The Rotary club has teamed up with local businesses to spread awareness as well as provide monetary assistance to Rotary International for polio eradication as well as the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation for the COVID Relief Fund. On Saturday, October 24th you can stop at a participating business to have a beverage of your choice or a specialty item they have chosen. Each location will have a registration box for a gift certificate as well as a free will donation jar. All funds raised will be divided between Rotary International for Polio and the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation COVID Relief fund.

Valley City Rotary Club spokeswoman Liz Nelson talked about the focus of this event.

She explained how this event will work on Saturday.

Participating business include:
Trestles Bar & Grill at the VC Country Club – donating $1.00 for every tap beer from 11 am to 2 pm.
Brockopp Brewing – donating $1.00 for every pint served from 5pm to 8pm
Woodland Steakhouse – donating all proceeds from the sale of 4 different 16 oz tap beers from 5pm to 9 pm
Sabirs – donating $1.00 for each of their 6 tap beers from 6pm to 8 pm

Businesses who will be donating a portion of their sales include:
The Labor Club, The Ashtabula Crossing, City Lights, The Legion and Boomers.
The Rotary Club would also like to thank the Valley City Eagles Club for a very generous donation to Rotary International for Polio.
